What’s going by Botanica & The Experimental Farm?

991 Carling Avenue in Ottawa, Ont. now sits abandoned. Across Irving from Botanica Private Condos and across Carling from the Experimental Farm. As we frequently help buyers and sellers in the Civic Hospital area have received a number of inquires as to what’s happening there or will happen.

For 26 year Jamatkhana served the Ismaili community in Ottawa from their home at 991 Carling Avenue, but now they are sporting some sleek new digs at 3225 Conroy Road, off Walkley.

We spoke with the current owners of 991 Carling, the AGA KHAN FOUNDATION CANADA about what plans they have for the site and building. At this point they are unsure what will be done with the facility or land, having a long term tenant for 26 years you don’t plan for their departure.

June 10th Update: Rumors of a 28 story condo building ran rampant around Botanica Private this weekend.  Touching Base with Salima in finance and properties over at Aga Khan, it is not their property, they are taking the philosophy of take it slow.  They have not sold the property and are not even going to consider it this year.
