During the month of June 2017, members of the Ottawa Real Estate Board sold 2,162 residential properties, compared to 1,985 in 2016, an increase of 8.9% of properties sold over the previous year.
It took an average of 67 days for a properties of all types to sell in June 2017 which is 9 days faster than the average in June 2016 and 1 shorter than the month before, May 2017.
Of these 2,162 sales, 1,754 were freehold houses, and 408 were condominiums.
The average sales price for a freehold house sold in June 2017, was $434,502 showing an increase of 8.8% over June 2016. While condominium average prices rose 9.4% from last year to $289,905.
2,871 new properties were listed for sale in June, bringing the total number of properties for sale to 6,179 a decrease of 25.8% from June of last year.
