Review of June 2019 

During the month of June 2019, members of the Ottawa Real Estate Board sold 2,105 residential properties,  compared to 2,064 in Jun 2018, an increase of 2.0% in the number of properties sold vs the previous year.

It took an average of 37 days for properties of all types to sell in June 2019 which is 15 days shorter than the average in June 2018 and the same as the month before, May 2019.   Of these 2,105 sales, 1,612 were freehold houses, and 493 were condominiums. The average sales price for a freehold house sold in June 2019, was $500,716 showing an increase of 11.4% over Jun 2018.  While condominium average prices rose 6.2% from last year to $308,482.  

2,559 new properties were listed for sale in June 2019, bringing the total number of properties for sale to 3,801 a decrease of 27.4% from June of last year.
