
Last month, November 2020, members of the Ottawa Real Estate Board sold 1,611 residential properties, compared to 1,288 in November 2019, an increase of 25.5% in the number of properties sold vs the previous year. Year to date Jan-Nov we have had an increase of 0.7% in total sales compared to Jan-Nov 2019

It took an average of 25 days for properties of all types to sell in November 2020 which is 23 days shorter than the average in November 2019 and 6 days longer than the month before, October 2020.
Of these 1,611 sales, 1,209 were freehold houses, and 402 were condominiums.
The average sales price for a freehold house sold in November 2020, was $602,892 showing an increase of 20.3% over November 2019. While condominium average prices rose 15.2% from last year to $361,758.
1,635 new properties were listed for sale in November 2020 which is a 31.3% increase compared to November 2019, bringing the total number of residential properties for sale to 1,537 a decrease of 37% from November of last year.
